QUEEN VICTORIA'S FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO IRELAND August 1849

Reverse 'TO COMMEMORATE HER MAJESTY'S VISIT TO IRELAND AUGUST 1849
Victoria's final visit to Ireland was in April 1900, fifty one years after her first &  just over eight months before her death in Jan 1901.

QUEEN VICTORIA'S DIAMOND JUBILEE 1897
Beautiful medal to commemorate the Queen's sixty years on the throne by Thomas Brock.
Obverse inscription    'LONGI - TVDO DIERVM IN DEXTERA EIVS ET IN SINISTRA GLORIA 1837'
Reverse inscription:  ' VICTORIA ANNVM REGNI SEXAGESIMVM FELICTER CLAVDIT IVN - MDCCCXCVII.

Far Right: The same medal of lesser diamiter also of course commemrating the diamond jubilee  but struck in Silver.

To Commemorate The Golden Jubilee or 50th anniversary of her accession to the throne in 1837.
Draped & crowned ornate bust  by HEATON of Birmingham..

Date Below Bust:  1887  Diamiter 39mm.

Note: At sixty-four years, Victoria's was the longest reign in the history of the British monarchy, four more years than George III, who  Reigned for sixty years (1760 -1820) This medal commemorated her 50 years on the throne in 1887.
